Ventura County Minor in Possession of Alcohol - Case Dismissed
My client was a senior at Thousand Oaks High School who bought 2 cases of beer at a local liquor store notorious for not checking ID. Upon walking out with a case in each hand, he encountered 2 Ventura County Sheriff's deputies and was issued a citation for Minor in Possession of Alcohol. If convicted, his license would be suspended for a year and his admission into college was in jeopardy. In preparing to fight the case, I had my client print his transcripts showing his excellent GPA, his college acceptance letter, and gather a few character reference letters. When the citing officer showed up to court for trial, I was able to convince him to dismiss the case. As a result, there was no license suspension and nothing on my client's record.
